Living room consists of 40″ Sony Bravia and Sony all in one 5.1 system with the HTPC located in the dining room controlled via USB extension cables, Keene IR distribution and a Harmony One remote. More on the dining room shortly…

Under the TV I’ve built in some shelving with sliding doors into the old fire place. I originally had my game consoles in there but decided to move my kit out into the dining room to cut down on the noise.

Used as storage for peripherals now.

Also have an Optoma 1080p projector connected up to a PS3 and the HTPC. If you look back to the first pic you can see the Projector screen casing suspended above the French doors.

84″ electric screen (I don’t think I’ve done too bad on the HTPC front so far considering I’ve had next to no experience with them!)

Also worth a mention I think is my media storage unit.

I drilled a nice big hole between the Dining room and Living room so I could house my noisy kit out of ear shot and added a nice brush plate.

The Node Zero cupboard.

No China plates in this dining room cupboard!

From here I’ve used a 2 way HDMI splitter for Sky HD to be fed into the living room and up into the bedroom. Its also fed into the kitchen via coax.
I’ve then used a 4 way HDMI splitter for the HTPC which is then split to the living room (PJ and AV amp), kitchen and bedroom.
In the kitchen we’ve got a 19″ LCD Samsung TV. HTPC is again controlled by USB extension cable and keyboard dongle. And also by the PC’s supplied remote control.

Above the TV is a Tesco’s CD player/radio with an iPod dock which I’ve also connected the TV to.

The house already had ceiling speakers in the kitchen and bathroom prior to us moving into 2 years ago. This was one of the reasons why I wanted to live here! The speaker cables terminated in this cupboard too and I bought a stereo switcher from maplins to control which room had music in. Kitchen ceiling:

And since we’re up stairs here’s the final room to show you guys, the Bedroom.

The bedroom has a 37″ LCD Samsung TV and is hooked up to the HTPC and Sky HD which are located directly underneath the bedroom in the dining room. Again these are controlled via a USB extension cable, keyboard dongle , Keene IR amp and a Harmony 515 remote. Also in the bedroom is 60gb launch PS3.

Loving your work! Great house!!
