Spotify

Yeah, Spotify have overhauled their account types. The free account with unlimited but advertised music no longer exists (except as an invite by a premium member). Their new free account is capped at 20hrs/month I think, and one paid level at £5/month gives unlimited music and removes adverts, and finally the premium at £10/month gives all of the above plkus the ability to play it offline, i.e. sync the music to upto 3 devices and remove the need to be logged in.

I never thought I'd ever pay for the premium account, but with the prospect of an Android phone on the horizon for me, and with the ability to download up to 3,333 playlist tracks onto any mobile device, it's looking incredibly tempting...
I had a real problem with spotify, you could never play the music you like.
It would be halfway through a song and start buffering cause of bandwidth problems and the adverts..... might as well turn on the radio.

I guess they worked out that they need to streamline and get more serious accounts involved.

Really???!?? I'm quite surprised by that. Been listening to it from home and work for the past year and never had one buffer problem, even at New Year and Xmas and I'm forever jumping around listening to new stuff all the time (although I couldn't buy a day-pass on New Years Eve as their payment system overloaded.)
