I've been alerted to the fact that newly registered users may not be getting the activation link via email.
If you're one of them (and I think there may be 10 of you or so), then I'm very sorry and have activated your accounts for you.
I shall look into the issue, but in the meantime, I have deactivated the feature for any other new users.
