advice please about unlocking i phone and nokia 6500
The wife and I now have 3 phones between us and are trying to consolidate.
The plan is this, 1) I have an Iphone 3g on o2 that I never use as I now have a company phone - I want to unlock the iphone so I can use it with my work sim which is on vodaphone as the work phone itself is a horrible basic nokia worth about £5! 2) I then want to give the o2 sim to my wife as it still has 9 months on the contract and she can use it in her nokia 6500 slide - This is presently on 3 and when i put the o2 sim in it askes for a unlock code I can then cancel the wifes 3 contract as this is now over 12 months old saving £25 a month ![]() Any advice how to proceed would be great |

RE: advice please about unlocking i phone and nokia 6500
I'm not sure on particular details on any of this mate but I'm sure you have to jail break an Iphone and follow particular instructions on the web.
I don't know what that does to your phone in the long run, cant say. This, from what I have heard is the best place to find or get advice about the nokia and many others. It's worth it to save £25 a month though. TBH I can't work out whats cool and whats a flakey site. My antivirus software was working overtime on some of these sites It's about time they deregulated and let it become easier for users to unlock a phone to use a sim of there choosing. "Do or do not. There is no try." Yoda |

Thanks ill have a look at the nokia site you mention.
Just been on the O2 website and there is a form you can use to request it is unlocked free of charge as long as you honour the contract which isnt a problem. just completed the form and awaiting a response so thats a result |
