Wiki
UPDATE: OK, I've had my time tinkering with the wiki, the pages off the main wiki page are now unlocked for any member to edit should they wish. Thumb

A red link means a page doesn't exist, but by following the link you can start typing then saving your work creates the page.

A few things to note: square brackets indicate an internal link to another page, so the [square] brackets in this sentence will create a link to the page 'square'. An html link followed by a space enclosed in square brackets creates a link to an external site. So [http://www.google.com search] engine, will create a link on the word 'search' to Google. Simple.

If you want to know more, you can read the MediaWiki instructions here, or ask me a question in this thread.

Over time of course I'll be filling it up myself, but if anyone wants to contribute or suggest any links to add to the main index, let me know.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The mediacenterhouse.com wiki has now launched. However for the next week it will remain locked while I populate the Main Page content.
I'm still getting my head around the MediaWiki software so it'll take me a while to iron out any oddities Blink
Your usernames/passwords for this forum also work in the wiki, but unfortunately due to limitations in the MediaWiki code no underscores are allowed, so any any users with underscores will have to have them removed if you want to login there. If you want you username changed, PM me and let me know.
With time, I hope the wiki, this forum, and the galleries to fill to bursting with information Thumb
Congrats on your hard work with the wiki page.Clap
It looks like a winner already, can't wait to see how it expands over time.
I bet your fingers are going to get sore with all the typing you have planned. Best of luck
Ha! The idea is that a Wiki is community supported, so give me a few days to get the basic structure there and then it'll be open for members like yourself to do all the typing Biggrin
Hmmm, that's a bit worrying!
I've just checked it through a web-browser checker that's online in Germany, (so about as random as it gets!) and it appears fine in IE versions 5.5 and 6, which are the versions I would imagine would give you the worst results. Not sure why it looks like it does on your screen. Make clear the browser's history or something? Sad
  • Uploading a file using upload link in the wiki toolbox on the left of the screen, you can then insert it into the wiki with this simple command line [[file:name of image.jpg|200px|thumb|left|text to appear under image]] Simple!
