Steve jobs announcement
Well Jobs is about to have a keynote speech at WWDC tomorrow night.
He is meant to be releasing the details of the eminent IPhone 4g. Not being funny, but so many photos have been released already, he could have spent some of his money in keeping tighter security. Still can't wait to see what new features are packed in. "Do or do not. There is no try." Yoda |

Hmmmm, no real suprises. An evolution rather than a revolution.
Still the sexiest phone to own though... EDIT: Sorry, WTF, FaceCall?? 'A revolution in communication' Wasn't that what Hutchison 3G were offering about 8 years ago?? RE: Steve jobs announcement
Arrhh the damn phone is like marmite.
Its not got as many features as I thought and I'm pretty sure a lot of the new upgrades is thanks to the new streamlined OS. The dual camera is cool, specially the flip cam settings, but the greatest thing I see is screen resolution. Its amazing they can cram so many pixel in. They didn't say if any previous dock stations will be obsolete with the upgrade. I know there calling it bunker or something now, but will old hardware work on new and will new hardware work on old? Yes it has a cheap plastic casing and looks like an 'old' iPhone, but compared to the other Androids it has a newer capacitive touch chip giving much more accurate results, a more powerful and more energy efficient processor, MUCH more powerful GPU than the rest, and an industry leading screen (arguably Top this with the best battery life results and there's very few reasons not to get a Galaxy S if an iPhone is a no go (for me anyway). However my colleague and I are getting new phones through work this month and I know he's holding out for an iPhone4, so it'll be interesting to see how we both get on and who wishes they had the other.... elootos - mediacenterhouse.com This forum has no strict rules, just those I make up as I go along! |

RE: Steve jobs announcement
Hmmm, money talks, or so the saying goes.
And it seems that Apple's investors aren't quite feeling the iPhone4 love. Apple's stock has continued to decline since the iPhone unveil on Tuesday (EDIT: 5 days later and it's now rising again slowly, so what does that say? er, dunno). Historically it's risen after the announcement of other devices, so I guess Mr Jobs needs to work on his convincing-the-public-it's-what-they-want hype talks. However something tells me that Apple are down, but not out. Roll on the iPhone5... And something that I can't really back up with any evidence, but I read somewhere that it has been reported (so it must be true ) that Apple wanted AMOLED displays in the new iPhone but couldn't get the quantity made in time for release.Oh, and on a positive note (for me anyway as I'm getting one of their phones), Samsung have come out and been quoted that the Retina display on the iPhone is technically incapable of catching up with the quality of their own made Super AMOLED. Fight, fight, fight... elootos - mediacenterhouse.com This forum has no strict rules, just those I make up as I go along! |
