Spotify in Media Center
Well a short bit of googling and cross-blog linking and it seems there is now this plugin for Media Center that allows Spotify playback.

Appropriately called Spotify MCE, I'll have to check this out later. when I get home.

Yeah, it does look promising don't it!

It seems its the same guy who programs the TunerFreeMCE that Dunks uses as well.

For those in need of an 'invite' to get Spotify, you can try this link here instead. Good luck! :)

RE: Spotify in Media Center
I've just installed it on my kitchen PC and it kinda works. Its appeared in the extras section,

and looks and runs as the site says,

However being a beta it is buggy and doesn't seem to search or play very smoothly. Spotify in the system tray keeps stealing the focus and sending Media Center to the background.

For now I'll leave it until a few more releases down the line. Great idea though.

RE: Spotify in Media Center
Well. I don't know if I like it or not.:s

Certainly Kudos points should go to the guy who made it possible, but I find it clunky.

I don't like the way you have to type in the artist before you can browse the songs, and you cant queue the music to make a playlist.Huhsign

I think the principal works, but it doesnt make me want to change the way I like to browse my music by album covers.Sad

Its a shame, so much potential, cloud music in mce.
Going to keep an eye on that plugin, and I think I will keep it in mce on those odd times.

Well its a very early release and thanks to the guy who has made this and releasing it early.

I take it you guys are running it in windows 7?

I haven't installed it yet but I intend to keep my eyes on it.

I think I read somewhere (Ian Dixon I think) that this guy coded it and released his beta all within a few days, so it is in its very early stages.

Definitely one to bookmark and check on in the future.
