Sky Player in Media Center
Well the 'coming soon' has evolved into the final release, so I installed it when prompted and now I'm just waiting to 'borrow' my brother's ID to login and play with the channels, but has anyone had any experience with it and more importantly, what's the picture and sound quality like?

Oh, and I also see it's integrated itself into the guide above the BBC. Sneaky.

RE: Sky Player in Media Center
I have this installed at the moment and I am also on sky broadband connect.
The picture quality is ok but the buffers every 10 seconds or so, so not really watchable at peak times.
It hasn't installed itself into the guide on mine either (not sure why) i only have the big menu button on the home screen.

Hmmmm, the delights of internet TV. I remember being 'amazed' at streaming an MP3 over my university connection that ran at a giddy 30kb/sec during quiet periods. How times change.

RE: Sky Player in Media Center
the tuner free mce thing seems to have all the stuff you can get in iplayer - why weren't you very happy with it? was it the same old problem of buffering?

RE: Sky Player in Media Center
Probably a really stupid question but how do I remove the Sky Player from Media Center ? I can't find anything obvious. Thanks!

I'm sure its in control panel - uninstall programs. Othewise you can hide it using media center studio - google is you friend.

I'd seen that on a search for google but no luck Wink I'll try media center studio though.

Ah, good old Google. But if questions like this didn't get mentioned on sites like this, then Google wouldn't index it and the answer wouldn't be out there in the first place... The paradox of the internet!

Stupidly, I hadn't even though of trying to remove Sky Player from Media Center! I'll chalk that up as another little job to do. Thumb
