Hi all
Wonder if I could run this idea past you elootos.
Do you think it would work if we could have some kind of review section in your forums for users to post reviews (impartial) on products that they come across in there own personal experience?
For example I've just purchased a really cheap pc remote, and rather than just post 'hey Ive got a new gadget' It could be a more formal review post.
I know there is not much incentive to get users typing away in their own time other than the love of it, but you could offer recognition for an approved review in the form of reputation points or something?

I'm sure anything can be encompassed from hardware to software.

Who knows if it took off companies might line up to give you products for review

Anyway feel free to shoot me down if you think it's not so hot.

Sounds like a great idea - reviews are great ways for novice to hear from experienced folk about what is good and what isn't etc.

Not sure about products being farmed out for review, unless you were set up as a retailer!

This place can have a review section no probs. It is a community site after all. Give me a day or so to sort it...

I did think about trying to get a few bits of kit from manufacturers a while back, such as a touch screen monitor from Dell to be used in my kitchen, but I never got around to contacting them. I think as long as the site traffic is high enough, you could get anything sent out. Perhaps I'll look into it again in the new year.
