After several weeks of bottlenecks (due to other sites sharing the server) this site changed host today to its own VPS (Virtual Private Server), giving a more secure and reliable service.

The DNS change can take up to 24hrs to filter through the internet so apologies if it's interrupted your browsing.

BTW there have been a few minor losses in the process such as System Specs in the UserCP, so apologies again if you have to re-enter them.

Yes, all changes should have propagated through the internet now.

And paying for it? well it's not that expensive and the administrative power I get to flex over my own site is quite fun actually, in a geeky way of course. I also intend to move some friend's sites on to this server to help fund its way.

Ha ha, yeah I did look at that domain when starting this site, but I thought 'house' was a better desriptor for what we as users are trying to achieve on this site. It makes it more of a physical object to transform with technology than 'home' which is suggestive of a site just for users to convene. IMO anyway.
