Have fun, especially with the 30 BBC One and 20 ITV1 channels that appear in the guide The DVB-S guide from Microsoft isn't quite as region intelligent as the DVB-T, but it's no more than a 5 minute job to sort through and fix.

RE: New TV Card
Nice and easy install... nice!
I want MC to play the RADIO when i press RADIO on my harmony. it just comes up with an error saying 'install a radio tuner' I HAVE!!! it's through the sattelite! What i'm asking really is can i configure MC to play channel 1001 (Radio1) when i press RADIO? I'm assuming not, but i don't know. And If i were to install another card, my second one, will i be able to watch tele whilst recording off the other card? or did i need a dual tuner card to enable me to do that? apart from that WELL HAPPY

As you've already guessed, the radio feature is looking for a radio-specific piece of hardware and the channels in the TV Guide are seen as TV channels only, regardless of content. Not sure if there's a workaround though, may have to have a google for that one... And yes by putting the second card in you shall have dual tuner capabilities. Single cards with dual tuners on just save space and slots in your PC, but to Media Center it doesn't matter whether it's one card or several. And I'm sure you already know this, but for satellite viewing you'll need a a second cable run back to your satellite; you can't split the signal like you can with terrestrial. elootos - mediacenterhouse.com This forum has no strict rules, just those I make up as I go along! |
