I'm dancing with the devil and have stumped up a tenner for Spotify Premium. As it's the only music player I've listened to in almost a year I thought I'd give it a go and it's very impressive. The android app for my phone has downloaded all my playlists and stored about 2Gb of music on it, it's also set to only go online when in a wifi zone so it won't run out your data tariff.the player is very good and you can store your music offline on 3 separate devices. Of the 10 albums I've physically bought in the past year there's only about 3 tracks that I like so I've given up with' traditional' music. elootos - mediacenterhouse.com This forum has no strict rules, just those I make up as I go along! |

That is the problem with albums these days and suspect always has been. There are some tracks on there that are really good and would play again and again in a home made compilation / playlist, but the majority of them never get played. I prefer the option of downloading a song that you want. I'd rather pay a couple of quid for this than £10 (ish) for a cd album I'd probably play once all the way through, burn and stick on my media drive. As for Winamp, I haven't used it for a while, but used it again at my brothers a few weeks back and loved it. WMP is ok don't get me wrong, but I've always liked Winamp and its updates and also a good FOC stand alone media player. |

I'm the one behind my music at home. If you guys have any suggestions for features or want the program to do anything else, than let me know. Feel free to post or write me directly at support at tenkowebworks.com
Btw, this software is similar to WinAmp's "remote" aka Orb2, however it has two big advantages, one it doesn't reencode your music, so there is no quality lose. Most DSL/Cable connections can handle full quality uploading, unless you have bandwidth caps it doesn't make sense to reencode. Second advantage is that it doesn't use any proxies, you are connecting directly to your own computer so there is no overhead, that is why going through directories is so quick. |
