Media Library/playlists
Am I the only one that was 'brought-up' using Winamp, and loves the way you can press 'J' and jump to any song, create playlists very easily etc...

but since i've had media-center/harmony remote, i find using MC for music is shit, and un-usableLipsrsealed, compared to winamp, any suggestions/plugins that will help me?

Thank you, i'm glad i'm not alone, I want to start using it more efficently but i do enjoy just having the music on, allowing our lass to 'read a book', and i can play my DS.
Book reading is so 2009, now thanks to the Apple IPAD, it's just a fuckoff big IPOD.
Which does defeat the object.

But as most MAC users are addicted to the acidity of apples for some reason they still throw money at any 'gadget'.

i might be going Offtopic here.

Point is, i want MC to replace the old mp3 stereo and i think that more needs to be done before that can happen!

Just got to ask quickly, elootos should be able to answer this.
Does media browser support the use of music within media center?

I can't seem to get a straight answer off there site.

The only good things you can do with apple is make cider.

Good ol' Winamp. I still use it on my laptop. Shows it age by being designed to not waste a single pixel of space on screen Happy

Ah, but this will be the greatest site one day Wink Thumbsup

Back to the point in hand, you could splash some cash and get the Air Music remote from Gyration.

It's the same as the one I use for normal Media Center/PC control, except it has an LCD screen that controls and displays Windows Media Player; it shows tracks, playlists etc.

I've toyed with the idea of upgrading to one.

Your at exactly the same place I'm at...

Bloody MC and its muic library. I have spent the last week sorting through 10000 tracks (600odd albums) that I have on the server making them MCable to use the Hamony for operation.
The album cover mode works fine on the ipod coverflow thingy but displays utter cr*p through MC.
Checked the media folder in Win7 and it's better but not perfect.

I need a better plug in. Angry

I have been using Mediamonkey & MP3tag for the ID3 tag edits and use these for the playing of the tracks whislt I check each and track and album cover for MC compatibility. Sad

Still to roll out the fully functionable corrected library to the Mrs. she's a skeptic and has reverted to CD's Lol saying that she much prefers their simplicity...Wah - why am I wasting my time?...
