RE: Lights out
From what I understand the difference is a few more advance features are open.
This page shows you a feature matrix and what is open to you.
Hope that answers you query.

RE: Lights out
WHS doesn't show the MSI file in the available add in tab, tried a reboot after placing the file in the add-ins shared folder Blink

i downloaded the 'LightsOutInstaller1.0.3.1133.msi.exe' which is the newest version on the lights out webpage. the file itself shows as an MSI file and doesn't show as a setup files like my movies using an .EXE file name.

what version are you guys using? and what is the file extension?
cheers all
Biggrin

RE: Lights out
yep it's different to the my movies package.
The download you get is the msi, so copy it to the folder \\Server\Software\Add Ins on your server.
Run the console and look for new add in. Install the program and home server if I remember will close down.
Also install the client parts as well... Actually to be honest I just found the install pdf here
Remember to follow the instructions very carefully, lights out can be fussy if you don't have the settings right, but if you get it right its really good.
Have fun with saving the worlds ecology

RE: Lights out
I've put the file in the correct folder, restarted the console, restarted the server and the MSI file still doesn't show :S

Not as of yet nay, i'm switching it off at the end of the night and back on as and when i need it, its not really a problem for now, but will be if it does end up somewhere inaccessible.

I'll have a pop at it over the weekend and let you know Smile

Its sorted :)

seems that downloading it through my macbook wasn't the best idea. it was converting the file extension to one that it sees fit which intern wasn't the best for windows.

I downloaded the file through my vaio, and worked first time Thumb

I must admit i'm impressed this far with it Rolleyes
