It must have a use!
I have recently aquired a laptop with a faulty screen, i don't want to spend alot of money i have connected up an old TFT i had hanging around,

I dismantled the screen and removed it from the laptop.

I didn't know how to get a wireless signal again, as the monitor was also the aerial. until i found this thread But can someone explain, that in the pic there is 2 connections and on ebay it only sells the wire for one of the two connectors? I ignored the whole cracking wireless etc of course.

the bottom picture is what i want to achieve, although the post says that he didn't do any better, it would be a better solution for me, as i have no networks showing.

Right, so you just want to get the right connector for your laptop, correct?

You just need to know what size your wifi aerial connector inside your laptop. If miniature, then you need a mini to full size adaptor from which you can then attach a normal wifi aerial. Simple as that.

Those photos on the link are showing all the possible options, that's all.

I'd say you just need the one. I guess there are two for internal laptop use, but one external should do it.
