Ipod Touch / Iphone
Couple of very handy Apps I use on my HTPC set up are.....
Hipporemote http://hipporemote.com/ Get it from Itunes and download the little server app from the site above. For WOL install Bonjour for Windows. I use this mainly in my bedroom to control my Revo (and to turn on the HTPC when I want to stream movies etc) It has less lag per button press than my ir remote. Another handy app is iPeng http://penguinlovesmusic.de/ This is visual controller for a Squeezebox. I`m not sure if anyone here has one but this is a much better choice than the ir remote that comes with the Classic Squeezebox. As it means you can have the box hidden away. My one is under our kitchen units along with the speakers and an old Sherwood amp and. |

RE: Ipod Touch / Iphone
All pretty clever stuff you mention.
I've been watching this video today as well, demoing Logitech fusion with the upcoming Google TV (which seems a vague product). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeRIX7czZE0 elootos - mediacenterhouse.com This forum has no strict rules, just those I make up as I go along! |

RE: Ipod Touch / Iphone
I use the iPhone/touch controller for Sons and also VMCmote for controlling Media Center remotely. Media Center has only been used for My Movies/Media Browser or watching Blurays for some time now. Having Sonos is a blessing in disguise as media center refuses to find the music on my NAS (80Gb ish).

RE: Ipod Touch / Iphone
Its a start in the right direction for remote control, but I see logitec are probably going to charge £200 for the wifi box and then you have to provide the iphone/pod to make the rest work.
At least pods are cheaper than buying an android phone everytime, I mean you really want something dedicated thats not going walkabout everytime cause someone needs to make a call.
