Hi All, my name is Ben. My Girlfriend and I are buying a house in the next 12 month or so, a doer upper, and we'd really love to build a Media room as well as an open deck with a roof at the back off the house that could be set up as a "Outdoor Media Room" of sorts, for entertaining in the summer. So we've started looking around on the web for ideas.

Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Hi Ben, you've come to the right place, we're here to help, once you get the keys etc, why not start a thread with photos of progress and we'll all offer advice/guidance where needed.

It's a great way of looking back at how it used to be in comparison to what you've achieved.

I hope the move goes smoothly, i know it can be a right complicated time.

You sound like you've got a partner who's equally as into techie DIY as you. Ace!!

There's so many options on what you could implement that it all comes down to personal taste on what type of gear you'd like to interface with; Mac / PC, all off-the-shelf hardware stuff / software based computers.

What do you see yourself with in the end?
