Hd Converter
Ive been having problems with my laptop chugging with a hd stream from my HTPC. Basically it's been a nightmare to watch full Blu-ray rips since I started.
Solution? I'm converting the 'mts' blu-ray file to a smaller friendly file to coexist along with the full blu-ray just for streaming.
I'm reducing it down to about 8gbs average and making it 1080i quality or 720p.
My movies is also setup so when you click the film you have the choice of playing the blu-ray version or dvd style version.

The program Im using is HD converter (free) made by koyote soft no watermarks or limited time offers. Absolutely brilliant, so many choice of what format you want to save it in (no mkv format) what audio and video bit rate and the screen resolution.
Its a great program to have on your computer.
