HTPC & HD Audio bitstreaming
I have recently upgraded my graphics card to a ATI Radeon HD5450. When used with the latest version of Arcsoft's TMT3 software I am now able to get Dolby True HD & DTS HD Master Audio! Yahoo!

I bought the passive Sapphire one - only £38!

The only problem now is that the multichannel analogue outs don't work and if I enable them and auto install the Realtek drivers the bitstreaming stops. Me thinks I'll have to switch between the 2...

Bargain! And to think it's only taken 3 or so years for this to finally be a reality of PC film watching Rolleyes

The ATi cards are great for HTPC use. My nVidia in the lounge PC gives me probs with BBC HD, whereas the other Media Centers with ATi cards work a treat.

RE: HTPC & HD Audio bitstreaming
I got a deal on a 5850 at the weekend, wasn't going to but had a credit sitting at the shop from a Netgear router that blew its ethernet caps.
So got it for a fair bit off the price.

Justified it to myself as I just installed PowerDVD9Ultra to get TrueHD to really give the monitor audios a workout . Thought a new card would help.
;-)
Problem now is can't get PowerDVD to work :-(
Keeps crashing both in MC and Cinema/standard.
Waiting for Cyberlink to respond to my problems.

Try TMT3 on trail, I did the pepsi challenge with PowerDVD and TMT3 won out.

RE: HTPC & HD Audio bitstreaming
I have the 5850 connected to my Onkyo - every time I watch a bluray the first thing I do is look at the amp to check the special lights! (sad) Also a powerdvd9 user and yes it sucks as it cant play ripped blus unless you want to faff about with mounting iso files etc. Did a trial of TMT and have to say its rather good. It also plays ripped Blus as well as hdhdvds if you have a multi drive. And you dont have to put up with the awfull (i said no to install but you did it anyway) Moovie Live.

enjaytee88 - good luck with Cyberlink support.

I also have an Xbox 360 HD-DVD connected to my PC and have used it to rip HD-DVDs to the Hard Drive (top tip there, only 30.00 or less now). This PC malarkey has now rendered my PS3 and Toshiba EP-30 obsolete, I can't get rid of them though as my 42 U rack will have a sky box, Karaoke DVD and PC with loads of blanking plates.....
