Google TV anyone?
Well it was only going to be a matter of time before Google tried to take over the living room.

Now I'm not Microsoft's biggest fan, but at least I see them as being a 'normal' tech company. Google's starting to get a bit too 'Matrix' for my liking!?!

It looks like it's going to be a netbox running a glorified phone os. (no disrespect android users)
hopefully it will make Microsoft take note and make a next gen 360 or something with the ability to do live tv, blu ray, games, streaming movies and music and also get on the net. Very possible with the tech that's out there.

Yeah, I think everything Google does leans to the side of 'simple'. To them simple equals mass appeal which equals lots of dollars $$$$$$$$ Hyper

Don't think us geeks with our 'dedicated media systems' need worry Thumb

Wow, the internet through your TV, whatever next... Rolleyes

Not sure whether the journalist is a moron or the product is meant for people who've not been in contact with humanity for the past 10 years but either way I'm actually embarrassed for them.

Well it seems all is becoming a little clearer on how Google think they can strongarm themselves into the living room.

A mini site for Google TV has launced with a bit more info it all.

Looks like Android through a TV set with the extras of some TV recording.

Can't see how it'll be anywhere near as powerful/useful as a discrete PC attached to a TV though.

Maybe one for the non-tech peeps.

Indeed. But the thing I like the look of is the harmony app for Iphone and Android handsets.
If it was maybe £100 cheaper I could be tempted, for total home control it would be worth it.
