Lightbulb Free internet
I have some neighbours about 3 doors away that are happy for me to use their wireless internet, it's roughly 50 meters away, from my computer to their router, now without running a mahoosive network lead, whats the cheapest way of using their internet, and making it available on my network?

So do you not currently have your own connection then?!?

To make another wireless netowrk available on yours, you simply need a Wireless Access Point, like this.

But if it's not 50m with a clear line of sight, then a repeater would be needed, but you'd also then have to befriend your neighbour in between to allow you to run it from their house Biggrin

Bigger aerials could help, but ultimately the connction would be sketchy unless it was hardwired.

For the sake of 8 quid a month for your own broadband, all these ideas are taking it to the extreme.
