Demopad for iPhone ipad
Having jumped on the iPad band wagon, I've been looking into fancy home control for my av setup. Pc, tv, amp, etc.
I did a bit of research before spending any money and have just started my setup. Hardware consists of - iPad and an itach unit made by global cache. The later is a small box which plugs into you network and via a small .exe run on any pc on the network you can learn and store remote codes. Software part is the app itself which has nothing in it at all. GUI designer is where the magic is. It's a free download from demopad.com. There is a quick start guide that will help you through a simple example to help you get the hang of things. The GUI designer has lots of buttons included. A good resource for free buttons and icons is the iconarchive.com Any action can be assigned to any button, macros etc. I've only just started my set up and will post some screen grabs soon. Has anyone else used this sort of system before? |

Your app looks pretty neat for more than just media; lights, automation etc. What exactly are you controlling with it? elootos - mediacenterhouse.com This forum has no strict rules, just those I make up as I go along! |

Uploaded with ImageShack.us[/img]Bit of an update after having a play with the gui builder for the last week. Will post some info on the process soon. All in all this is a pretty simple to use piece of software. The outlay is less than a Logitech Harmony remote but it does so much more. |

RE: Demopad for iPhone ipad
It depends on what unit you have.
It isn't limited to global cache units, but they do make contact closures and rs 232 receivers. http://www.globalcache.com/ A built in feature of demo pad is for the control of crestron and lutron lighting. You can also link it to web cams as well. |
