Behind my fridge...

Well the title says it all.

I had the fridge out at the weekend to move the keyboard/mouse receiver from on top of the fridge to underneath the worktop to improve reception.

Anyway, while out I thought a photo of the cabling chaos that runs throughout my house was in order.

The hole in the sidepanel exits directly underneath the worktop and into the 2" void above the floor cupboards on the other side.

The wiring I have there is/are a power lead and VGA lead from for the monitor, a 5m USB extender to give me a 'hidden' USB port underneath the worktop ('cos you can never have enough USB ports throughout the house ), a USB lead for the wireless keyboard/mouse receiver and several runs of bell wire that extend the LED lights to some strips under the worktop. The hole halfway up the wall is from the original wall mounted music streamer I used to run in the kitchen.

   


This is looking up at the holes in the ceiling behind the fridge that I drilled into the bedroom cupboard that then allow the network and coax to shoot into the loft. I'm thinking of getting a couple of 5m USB extenders linked together to also run into the attic to give me a USB port for the Windows Home Server in the kitchen. Handy!

if you have a mouse behind your fridge, you should call in pest control
