Bedroom HTPC: Audio Configuartion
Hi,

I was wondering if you can supply a little more information with regard to your two audio connections and systems used with regard to the Bedroom and bathroom.

- What connections on your PC do you use to connect to your Aego-M and then what connections do you use to you bathroom Amp?
- Is the Amp in Bathroom switched on/off using the pull cord in bathroom?
- Can you listen to music just in bathroom by its self?
- What do you think of the Aego-M system? Sound quality? Does it have its own built in Amp?

Thanks in advance
Rich

Hi Rich,

The Aego M speakers are great for the money. For a 2.1 system I wouldn't buy anything else for under £250.

The sub is active so it powers the speakers and takes just a phono input.

The amp for the ceiling speaker in the bathroom takes a phono feed as well and I've split the output of the bedroom PC to feed both the AegoM in the bedroom and the amp in the bathroom. As they are fed from the same output they cannot play independant things.

The bathroom's amp is powered on/off from the ceiling pull switch.

Hope that helps!

RE: Bedroom HTPC: Audio Configuartion
Thanks for that Just one further question:
Where is the phono connection on the PC? Is it on the motherboard or on a separate PCI card?
Thanks

The audio output on the PC is the standard green 3.5mm jack on the motherboard. So I use a headphone to phono cable to get to the amp.
